Aarzak ventures into Longforge

I woke up this morning and decided to return to the Kobold mines and continue my training. Along the way I did a few delivery quests and sold all my excess loot. On my way back to the mines, I helped the loggers at a local logging camp take care of some wolves and bears. They rewarded me, and I went back to the mines to train.

I found myself bored with the same old routines of training. I was 1/4 of the way through Level 11, and wanted more excitement. I returned to Stormwind to seek new quests. One of my quests from the Marshall in Goldshire was to head there and seek otu a Dwarf to make him a new shield. I met with the Dwarf, and was rewarded, and offered a new quest. I was to deliver an item to someone in a distance Northern Tower. I wasn't sure how'd I find it, but I was willing to venture out.

I was trying to find my way out of the Dwarven area when I stumbled across a new area. Confused, I stood on a platform, and waited to see what the rumbling was. It was a tram! Mass transportation that didn't cost anything. Not realizing that it would take me to Longforge like I wanted, I jumped on, and was pleasantly surprised when I reached my destination.

I found my way out and headed off into the snowy wilderness. I stayed on the road so that the level 10 creatures wouldn't attack me. I was on a delivery mission worth 6s, and I wasn't about to jeaprodize it. The Northern Tower was my destination. I walked for a long time, and ended up farther north than I should have been. After getting back in body, I back tracked, completed my quest, and was presented with another, this time worth 7s.

The quest was simple. Take this order and give it to the armorsmith in the Dwarven District of Stormwind. Since I was going back anyway, I agreed to the task, got back to the tram, headed back to the Drarves, and completed the quest.

It was getting late. I left Stormwind and trained my way to level 12. I went back to the Inn in Goldshire to do my level 12 training. I was surprised to find a Fireball (3) skill, and promptly learned it. This new fireball gives me hits up to 72 points of damage. I decided to find a good place to rest for the night. I traveled west to a Tower, and greeted a guard. I accepted a quest, and decided to rest for the night.

Tomorrow I will begin my day with the quest.

Aarzak finds new opportunities

I began my day in Goldshire talking to Lefty Two Dude who is concerned that the Mullocks are attempting to take over the area. He asked me if I would speak wtih Marshall Dungan about the situation.

I found the Marshall standing outside of a small building with a large forge. Inside were all kinds of smiths to buy weapons and armor from. I spoke with the Marshall, and he asked me to talk to one of the guards at the bridge to the east near the river. I accepted the task.

I decided that I needed to prepare myself better for the quest, so I went inside and talked with the Weaponsmith. She had a walking staff that was more powerful than my standard staff. It has a power range of 16-23, and a much quicker response time. I paid 4s 50g, and was on my way to the bridge.

The roads going from Goldshire to the Azora Tower are surrounded by a lot of level six creatures. Along the way I found a guard patroling the area. I got into trouble once and he bailed me out. After a few minutes, I arrived at the bridge. I asked the guard about the Mullocks and told him I was sent by the Marshall. He explained that he too felt there might be an issue. He had sent two of his guards north along the river to investigate, but they had failed to return. He asked me if I would go north along the river and either find them, or their remains. I agreed to, and was on my way.

By now I was a level eight Mage. I was more confident in fighting off hostiles. I made my way up the river, but was met by several level 10 beasts. I decided it was best to swim the river and avoid trouble.

I arrived at the edge of the river where it circled a small island. On the island, I could see Level 10 Rogue Wizards patroling some sort of monument. I swam over to the island to talk to one of them when they started attacking me with iceblasts. Fearful of my life, I ran back into the water and swam away. Could this be the fate of the two guards?

I regained my composer, allowed my health to regenerate, and decided to take a more evasive approach to the island. I made it safely onto the island and began to look around. There were about 15 Rogue Wizards, all level 10. I felt confident, and began to take them out. I would spent the next three hours on this island training and looting. I eventually made it to Level 10.

I started to head back to the river when I noticed a half eaten body. Curious, I walked over to it. Indeed it was one of the guards. Web-shaped foot prints led to the east where a Molluck camp was setup. Decided to investigate, I headed over there.

I was greeted by several little gree round guys. They were tough, aggressive, and sent me to the graveyard several times. Eventually a few others came to the rescue, and I found the body of the second guard, and reported back to the guards at the river. He feared that is what I found and vowed to setup more guards throughout the area. He paid me for my quest, and sent me with a message into Westfall to the Tower.

Westfall is a dangerous place. The creatures are hostile and generally level 10-16. I fought my way to the Tower, and reported to the guards. They asked me to deliver a message back the Marshall in Goldshire, and paid me for my duties. I agreed.

I found a transportation system. Gryphons. They are very large birds, and can take you from place to place. I flew one into Stormwind, the largest city in this area. From there I walked back into Goldshire, and gave my report. Again rewarded, I decided to go and train.

After a few hours of hunting, I found myself at Level 10. Eager for more quests, I decided to go back to Stormwind and see what was there. When I arrived, I found several areas. I visited the Trade Area, wandered around the Cathedral area, then found a Mage area. There was a tower in the middle, so I went in. At the top of the tower was a portal that reminded me of the Stargate. Curious, I entered. I found myself in a large room with several Mage trainers. I trained in my level 10 skills, and agreed to go and get some water from the waterfall next to Stormwind. In return I would receive a two handed staff.

I found the waterfall pretty quickly, and discovered it was surrounded by four level 10 Rogue Wizards. I discarded of three of them, and filled my canister. I returned to the Mage trainer, and got my staff.

The day grew late, and I grew weary. I decided to finish my Level 11 training, and turned in for the night.

Aarzak arrives in Azeroth

It was a long journey, but I finally made it. I have decided to begin my Mage training. Although the journey is difficult, I feel I have mentally prepared myself for this day. I have decided to begin training in Northsire as recommended.

So far, the only means of defense I have are my staff and my Fireball (1). I spent most of the day at a northern mine helping the guards get rid of Kobolds that are trying to take over the area. I was met by Level 1-4 kobolds. They drop copper, linen, apples, and other items that I use or sell.

Copper is the lowest form of money in the game. There are three types, Copper, Silver, and Gold. Gold = 100 Silver. Silver = 100 Copper.

Linen is valuable in mass quantities. It is used by Armorsmiths and Tailors.

Apples helps me regenerate my health at faster rates.

It was an uneventful day of training. Kobold after Kobold, I gained XP and worked my way from level one to level six. I discovered a few quick delivery quests, but nothing more than travel from Northsire to Goldshire.

In Goldshire, I found a Mage trainer in the Inn. There I learned Fireball (2). After looking around the area, I have discovered two more mines. Tomorrow I will explore them and more of the area. There are places to the east and west that I may venture into.
